Hiking in Mayong
Bali offers many opportunities for hikes trough tropical rainforests. However, a Mayong hike is one of the most beautiful hikes of Bali, which you should not miss out. Putu, your guide, is very known in the area and will tell you everything of the surroundings, sawas, flora and fauna which you can find in the area. You will visit authentic villages, where you will meet people who are living according ancient ways. In the end, Putu and his wife Ria will prepare typical delicious Balinese food. Gitgit waterfall Singaraja
The waterfall of Gitgit is located 9 k's (5.6 miles) southwards of Singaraja. You can reach the waterfall by car or scooter. The air will cool down when approaching the waterfall. Close to the waterfall, you will recognize the splashing water. The waterfall is 60 meter (almost 66 feet) and is considered as highest waterfall of Bali.

Hot spring Air Panas
On a close distance to the villa, you will find the famous hot water springs of Air Panas. These hot springs are situated in the hills of the village Banjar en is surrounded by breathtaking nature surroundings. The 100F (28 °C) hot sulfurous source lead into eight shaped dragonheads. The sulfurous water has healing powers for skin issues.
Bali bird - and Reptile park
Close to Ubud, the most beautiful bird- and reptile park of the world can be found. Many exotic birds of Africa, Latin-America and Asia are flying freely in this park. The park is also rooming 2000 species of exotic plants. Next to the bird park, you will find an amazing reptile park.Take a stroll through this amazing world of dangerous animals.You will get to know everything of all kinds of reptiles and there are possibilities to hold the snakes, turtles, Komodo Dragons and crocodiles.
Scuba Diving and snorkling
Bali offers lovely snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities. The sea is very calm and shallow, which makes it very easy to sea beautiful colored coral and fish. When you are a certified scuba diver, we recommend to scuba dive on Menjangan Island.The scuba dive possibilities are of high standard and you will see the most wonderful fish, coral and turtles.
There as well opportunities to get your PADI license. You will start off in the swimming pool of the villa and finish it on Menjangan. It is an unbelievable experience for around $300, which is much cheaper elsewhere. Golfing
An hour driving from the villa, an 18-holes golf course of the "Bali Handara Kosaida Golf and Country Club"can be found. This course is situated in the mountains of Bali and is recognized as one of the most beautiful courses of Asia. Due to its exotic setting it is known as a golf paradise. Gunung Agung
The Gunung Agung is the highest and most holy mountain/volcano of Bali. The mountain is 3142 meters ( almost 2 miles ) and you can find the mountain from every possible angle of Bali. The best way to discover Gunung Anung is to hike in the months August to September. You will found information of a hike with a guide in the villa. At the bottom of the mountain, the most important temple of Bali can be found: the Pura Besakih.
Tanah Lot Tempel
Many sea temples are build, next to the South coast of Bali. The most important one is Tanah Lot. The temples are build in a way, that you will see the next sea temple at clear weather. Tanah Lot is build on a rock before the coast and is situated close to Kuta and Denpasar. Tanah Lot is one of the most characteristic temples of Bali, because of its location and architecture.
Pura Ulan Danu
This famous and beautiful temple complex is situated at the side of lake Bratan, a lovely lake in the mountains of bali, which is covered in clouds. Lake Bratan is very important for irrigation of the Southern parts of Bali. A bit further, you will found the legendary Twin Lake Tamblingan and Buyan. These lakes used to be one lake, but during an earthquake the lake was split in two, in the past.
Bali Barat national park
Het Bali Barat National Park is situated in the West of Bali. The park is hilly and hosts mainly rain forests, mangrove forests, savannas and coral reefs. This park offers more than 200 different plants. A few of these plants has religious and spiritual meanings, such as Banyantree. You will found leopards, wild boars, snakes, iguanas, lizards, turtles, monkeys, geckos and enormous spiders. You will also find giant herbivores, such as deer and wild buffalos.
